I have been active in my field of interest (hair designing) since 1983. At the beginning, working at high volume environment, I learn to become a very effective efficient technician by delivering an accurate service and being time sensitive to my clients. In my next phase of my career, I learn the meaning and importance of long turn relationships. Spending a decade working with great peers and very supportive clientele, during this period I continue to develop my technical skills, and my curiosity for business began to develop.
“Luck is where opportunity meet’s skills”. Thanks to John Barrow (a local business leader) the Carlo’s Salon organization got off the grown. With the help and support from my wife Julissa, the Carlo’s Salon team, our vendors and the community it self, we were able to steadily move the organization forward. Now we are proud to say that we bring value to the community, and we make a positive difference on every one associated with our organization.
Today I continue to find joy in every aspect of my work, from servicing our guest with their hair care needs, and facilitating a work environment where our service providers find personal and professional growth.

I am Julissa Rodriguez happily married to Carlos. When I started in this industry in 1992, I was very serious about becoming a hair designer. I wanted to learn anything and everything, but soon, I realize was not only about the technical elements, there was more involve in becoming a very successful stylist. Placing high priority on the guest, listening with objectivity and providing extraordinary services. I continue taking classes to improve my technical skills and my business skill. Although I had years of experience in practicing this craft I continue feel like a student and this keeps me fresh and up to date. Working at Carlo’s Salon was one of the best things that happened in my career. Our organization provides us with a foundation vase integrity making it a nourishing, safe place to belong. As a Salon educator I enjoy pass on my own experience and the necessary information needful to the development of the new generation of technicians. This is satisfying to me. What I learn over the years is that each guest is special to me. I like to dedicate time helping them achieve their image goals. I enjoy working with every one. I received my Cosmetology license one year after graduating from high school. I have work in the industry for 14 years now, 10 of which I spent at Carlo’s Salon. My education includes advance training at the Redken Exchange in New York City and I have completed numerous leadership courses from Fred Pryor Seminars.
I strive to ensure that all guest entering through our door feel welcome and well taken care of. One of the things I do to ensure the experience goes well is a thorough consultation. During this time I like to offer friendly honest advice about how I can enhance someone’s beauty. This may include a new haircut, hair color or texture service. I also enjoy working on designing formal or evening hairstyles. I like to ensure that the bride or prom girl feel and look their best on a special day.
My love of hairstyling has prompted me to share my knowledge and experience with others. As an educator I feel very fulfilled with my career. I truly enjoy seeing others become successful in this business.

I have been working at Carlo’s Salon since 2007. I was introduce to the industry by my sister Julissa who is also a hair stylist. I love my career. When I started working at Carlo’s Salon I train under Julie, a salon educator, who taught me every thing I know. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to begin my career at such a young age. Graduating from my apprenticeship program and going on the floor was such an excitement for me because my hard work finally paid off. My main goal at Carlo’s salon is to make all clients feel welcome and have the best experience with my services.

I like to take a friendly, and professional approach, when I service our customer’s, hair care needs, I like to carefully listening to our customer’s vision during the consultation to assure a successful result. I am a graduate of The Process Institute of Cosmetology in Lawrenceville, GA. After relocating to Griffin, GA, I decided to join the Carlo’s Salon team where I couldn’t feel more at home. My name is Maggie and my journey in the world of hair artistry began in 2007 when I graduated from Griffin Tech’s Cosmetology program. I joined Carlos Salon in February of 2014,and I am proud to be part of this talented team of stylists. I have experience with all hair types for both men and women, with knowledge in a wide range of methods. I strive to exceed expectations while making my clients feel comfortable in my chair. My goal is to keep your hair looking fabulous 24/7 and giving you the knowledge to maintain great hair at home. My name is Juliet. I grew up in the Philippines and I lived in Singapore and Minnesota before becoming a Georgia girl. At a very young age, I developed an interest in hair and beauty -and- have always loved meeting people. So, attending beauty school was a great match for my passions. Since graduating, I gained experience in the industry as well as continuing my education with advance classes. I have worked hard to perfect my cut and color techniques. I am very excited to be a part of the Carlos Salon team. Our salons focus on customer service and making you look great, is a perfect match for my skills and personality. I knew from a young age that I would have to be in a field that enabled me to use my artistic ability while working with people. I started my career in cosmetologist by attending Paul Mitchell school in Birmingham, and I have continued my education by attending advance from Paul Mitchell, L’Oreal, Redkin, Bumble and Bumble, in the area of creative color, cutting, and styling classes. I always love being able to have the opportunity to make people feel amazing about themselves, it is the most rewarding thing I could do. I am extremely grateful to be in a salon that provides my guests and myself a relaxing, family atmosphere. I look forward to seeing you in my chair!
Growing up I always had a passion for hair and beauty, my interest for becoming a Hair Designer increased in my early 20’s , when I decided to attend West GA Technical College to get my Cosmetology education, It was there that I learn to develop a wide array of talents, such as my experience on Hair Color, I also learn make my focus on providing excellent customer service; I like my customers to have an exceptional experience while under my care.
